Potion-Spec Alchemists  

With the coming of Cataclysm, potion-specced Alchemists can earn quite a bit of gold! However, this is my least favorite of the Alchemy types to make gold. While this can be profitable, you really have to move through a large volume of potions to earn any gold. It is a bit of a pain to manage all the auctions.  

With that said, there are now quite a few recipes that are profitable: 

·         Mythical Healing / Mana Potions (new top-tier potions) 

·         Earthen Potion - increases armor temporarily (tanks use these regularly) 

·         Golemblood Potion - increases strength temporarily (DPS potion) 

·         Potion of Concentration - alternative to mana potions 

·         Potion of Illusion - gag potion that has a good amount of sale value 

·         Potion of the Tol'vir - increases agility temporarily (DPS potion) 

·         Potion of Treasure Finding - high material requirement, can mark-up quite a bit 

·         Volcanic Potion - increases spell power temporarily (DPS potion) 

·         Potion of Deepholm - An actual teleport; will sell well!

All of these potions can be crafted for profit. You simply follow the same process as before: 

·         Scan AH for cheap herbs, particularly in mornings and evenings. 

·         Craft and sell potions, primarily listing before raids. 

·         Mana/Health Potions and +temporary stat potions, unlike Flasks generally sell best in stacks of 5. Players who buy these need a lot of them, so they are not looking to buy 1-2 at a time, but rather 20-30. 

·         Sell Potion of Deepholm in stacks of 1. Many players just want to buy one of these in order to get a free teleport to Deepholm right at that second.  

The Potion of Deepholm is my favorite one; they sell very fast on the Auction House and the herb requirement is high enough to gouge a bit on the price.  

Mana potions also sell extremely well, as many players grab 20-30 at a time. Keep them stocked up on raiding days and you will be able to make plenty of gold.
